Life on a small New Zealand sheep and beef farm. Photographing nature, especially birds and animals, on the farm and around New Zealand.
Wonderful shots of the Tui. We don't have flax at home so seldom see them here.Diana
From what I can see in your photos they look very similar to the Wattle Birds that we have here in Tasmania. Hope you have a great weekend - Tony
Thank you, Jocees. I am now your newest follower. I hope you will follow me too. Tui is a cute name for a bird.
Hello!:) Thank you for sharing the Tui bird, you took some nice picture of it It's a bird I have never heard of but what a great bird to see. I would like to follow you if I may.
Hello Jocee, the Tui sounds like an exotic name. Pretty bird and flowers. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
Such an pretty bird...including it's name!...:)JP
Tui a pretty name for that bird in the flax flower. We don't have Tuis and flax in our country, but I remember the huge patches of flax when we were in New Zealand, they were not yet flowering at that time.
birds do like to hide, darn it.
I love that you are in mid-summer, and the flax flowers are blooming. Really nice photos with the bird!
How interesting to see the flax. Lovely silhouette.
